LIST-SERVE: Top Ten Reasons I'm Glad Football's Back

The things you can do with PowerPoint...
In case you haven't heard, football's back. That's right. The four-month NFL lockout has finally come to an end. And I don't know about you, but I can't wait for football season. Here are my top ten reasons I'm glad the NFL is back.

10. No more confusing lockout discussions. I don't really know what was going on, except that apparently the owners were being greedy assholes (which doesn't seem too hard to believe), and they were trying to paint the players as the greedy ones. Hopefully the lockout has ended soon enough for that not to happen.
9. Brett Favre and Michael Vick (possibly) on the same team! It's like my Madden 2003 roster all over again.
8. Because having two lockouts at the same time was just too damn depressing. Okay, NBA. All eyes on you.
7. I can't wait to watch the new Canadian team. Because I'm totally the first one to make this joke.
6. Cheerleaders. Football provides dudes with the one time they can get their blatant misogyny on by ogling scantily clad women and not get bitched at for it. Hell, old guys can even do it right in front of their wives, and it doesn't even matter because we obviously can't be expected to properly root our team on to victory without these brave lieutenants of approbation to direct our unorganized enthusiasm. In the words of ESPN: It's not disgusting. It's sports.
[Well this picture oughta get me some blog views...]
5. Lazy Sundays. With the lockout looming, I was afraid I might actually have to spend my Sundays doing homework or something.
4. This song. Gives me goosebumps.
3. Can't wait to see Chris Kluwe get his ass kicked. I don't care if he's right. No one calls this guy a douchebag and gets away with it.
2. My teams. With the Rams finally on the rise and the Packers talented enough to make a serious run at a repeat, this looks like it could be quite a Brandon-friendly season.
1. Football's awesome, goddammit. 'Nuff said.
